"Imposter" pasta

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of generously salted water to the boil.
  2. Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions until al dente.
  3. In the final 2 minutes of cooking, add the frozen peas (or any other frozen vegetables) to the pot.
  4. Drain the pasta and vegetables.
  5. Return everything to the pot and add the sauce, pine nuts, and fresh basil (if using). Stir gently until everything is well combined.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  7. Serve on warm plates, finishing with grated Parmesan, freshly ground black pepper, and a drizzle of good olive oil.
